BREAKING PARADIGMS AND REMAINING INNOVATIVE

For over 25 years, Saipher ATC has been on a mission to deliver something that goes beyond a simple solution. It all started when it was necessary to find an innovative system to replace paper-based air traffic control, a way of working that has been around  at various airports worldwide for more than 70 years. The challenge was to meet the needs of a highly competitive and specialized market formed by a particular niche: air traffic and airports. From the beginning, with a vision based on meeting customer demands with excellence, the proposal has always been to be as close as possible to identify these needs and present systems and practical solutions based on breaking paradigms.

To gain prominence, it was necessary to exceed expectations. It was then that, in partnership with the São Paulo International Airport, in Guarulhos, in 1998, the first air traffic control system based on electronic strips in the world arose, the EPFS, which stands for Electronic Progress Flight Strips in English. Thus, Saipher ATC came to replace the use of paper strips in a bold and pioneering way and definitely entered the forefront of solutions for control towers and airports. It was the first system of the renowned TATIC SUITE, a solution with several systems and modules to meet the most specific airport demands.

In 2020, Saipher ATC, present in more than 170 aerodromes across Brazil and Paraguay, surprised the market once again. At the initiative of the Department of Airspace Control (DECEA) and through the Airspace Control System Implementation Commission (CISCEA), the TATIC A-CDM (Airport Collaborative Decision Making) is implemented, a system based on the concept of collaborative decisions, assuming the responsibility of putting São Paulo International Airport and Brazilian air navigation in a new era, together with the Air Navigation Management Center (CGNA). In addition, the development of the ACISP/PDS modules, which allow the operation of an A-CDM airport, have advanced features in comparison to similar systems used in Europe and the United States of America.
