DECEA and Saipher promote the A-CDM Workshop

Representatives from the Operations Subdepartment (SDOP), linked to the Airspace Control Department (DECEA), together with the Air Navigation Management Center (CGNA), Gol Linhas Aéreas and Saipher ATC, led the A-CDM Workshop at São Paulo International Airport, in Guarulhos. The event aimed to strengthen the platform's collaborative concept, presenting some of the leading performance indicators, the effect of the concept on the airport's capacity and the results obtained so far, in addition to the following steps to be taken, also highlighting the crucial participation of all to ensure predictability, punctuality of flights and optimization of operational efficiency at the aerodrome.

How was the event

Major Aviator Felipe Lopes Silva (CGNA), Manager of the A-CDM project in Brazil, started the work at the Workshop. Major Aviator Rafael Domingos Rodrigues, from SDOP, brought a strategic perspective to the project, relating it to the other DECEA/OACI projects. For Saipher, Elias Fernandes, Product Manager, and Saipher A-CDM/ATFM Consultant Colonel Ricardo Brito presented in general terms the A-CDM concept and the operational functioning of the ACISP platform. A-CDM players working at the aerodrome participated in the event, including members of Network Operations (NO - CGNA), Air Traffic Control (ATC), airline aircraft operators (Aircraft Operators - AO), Ground Handling Companies (GH), which provide services to aircraft arriving or departing from the airport, and GRU Airport (Airport Operations).

About A-CDM

Implementing A-CDM in Guarulhos results from a joint initiative by the Airspace Control Department (DECEA) through a cooperation agreement with Eurocontrol, an organization dedicated to supporting European aviation. The project was developed in partnership with São Paulo International Airport (GRU Airport), the Brazilian Airport Infrastructure Company (INFRAERO), the Brazilian Association of Airlines (ABEAR) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA). The concept is based on sharing information between partners to improve predictability, punctuality and operational efficiency at the airport and ATM network.
