Saipher at the 5th SELM



Saipher participated in the 5th Space Economy Leaders Meeting (SELM), an international forum that brought together representatives from the sector to discuss and promote space economic development. Held from September 11 to 13 in Foz do Iguaçu, Paraná, the event was organized by the Brazilian Space Agency (AEB). It was attended by 30 delegations from G20 member countries, international guests, as well as representatives from the Brazilian aerospace industry and partners.

During the SELM, the Director of Business and Innovation, Brigadier José Vagner Vital, presented the actions of Saipher's Space area and details of Horus (Holistic Risk and Uncertainty Reduction System), developed by the company. Its purpose is to provide operators of civil and military space systems with Situational Awareness tools in the Space Environment and the Space Combat Domain. The director positively assessed Saipher's presence at the meeting: "It was an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences and knowledge with leaders and experts in the space economy. SELM reinforced the importance of international cooperation and technological innovation to drive sustainable development and address global climate challenges. It is very gratifying to know that Saipher is part of this initiative and contributes to the advancement of the aerospace sector," he said.

SELM aims to facilitate dialogue between space industry leaders, governments and international organizations, addressing key issues related to the space economy and climate. The meeting aims to promote strategic partnerships and collaborations between countries and organizations, driving sustainable development and innovation in this sector. The forum also provides an opportunity to exchange best practices, lessons learned, and success stories related to the application of space technologies to address climate challenges. During the three-day event, lectures were given by national and international experts, in addition to four discussion panels.
