The Institutional Security Office of the Presidency of the Republic (GSI/PR) held the seminar "Space on the Agenda: New Space Era – Reflections on Geopolitics and Security" on September 17 and 18. The event, held at the Higher School of Defense in Brasília, proposed reflections on the role of the Brazilian Space Program in the global geopolitical scenario, addressing topics such as space exploration, security in space and international cooperation. The seminar highlighted Brazil's technological and strategic potential, reinforcing its position as a possible key player in the new space economy. Saipher's Director of New Business and Innovation, José Vagner Vital, also Coordinator of the Aerospace Committee of the National Union of Defense Material Industries (SIMDE), participated in the Critical Infrastructure Panel and reinforced the importance of discussions related to space. "Discussing space systems in the context of critical infrastructure is essential to understanding Brazil's importance in this scenario. The country's security and sovereignty are intrinsically linked to the mastery and development of these technologies," said the Director.
